In partnership with Voices of A People’s History of the United States and The New School, CualNYC presented The People Soeak: Ireland in New York in May 2016 as part of its citywide cultural festival.

The event brought to life, through words and song, the dramatic history of political struggle and protest in Ireland and beyond, from its earliest history to the present day and featured Stephen Rea, Ciarán Hinds, Mercedes Ruehl, Amber Tamblyn, Griffin Dunne, Marin Ireland, Brian Jones, Geraldine Hughes, Geoffrey Arend, Williams Rossa Cole, Anthony Arnove, Griffin Dunne Steve Earle, Susan McKeown, Ivan Goff, Isabelle O’Connell and Old Hannah.
